I used to blog. A lot. At two different times in my life.
The first was when I joined Kinaxis. I blogged about my experience of being completely new to the supply chain analytics space. It was 2011 and blogging was kinda the thing.
The second was when I was the co-founder and CEO of Postcard, a fledgling travel startup between 2013 and 2016. It felt like a good way to document the experience of fundraising and building a product in a challenging market. People love to travel and love the idea of making bespoke travel booking easy. However, no one has figured out how to do it at scale. Turns out we couldn’t either.
This feels like a good time to take a crack at blogging again. I’ve just finished a book on Data Modeling in Tableau which can now be preordered on Amazon. Why blog now? Well, the book is in written form. It seems appropriate that talking about it should be the same. The other reason is that podcasts are the consumption mechanism of choice right now. But… everyone already has one and they are so long form. Personally, I’m looking to challenge myself by reading more over listening and watching. I’m betting other people are too!
I’m going to leave it here for now. Lots more to come!
